Commissions

When someone commissions a piece of artwork it's because it's something personal to them. It's my job to create what they want so that it can be treasured. That's why I put a lot of thought and work into each piece I do, whether design, art, or photography.
t to include:

Be as specific about what you want as possible. If you're looking for a character sketch, include things like name, body type, features, colors, personality, etc. If it's for a website or logo, include spot colors needed, scope of project, what you need and want to include, what the project will be used for, etc. For events, tell me the day and time it will take place and what's needed. I will return your emails with additional questions if needed.
Why do I not have specific rates?
There are many considerations when doing art and design, especially since I have a wide scope duties I can perform. This includes the time it takes to create the artwork, research time, the years of schooling and experience behind it, the cost of materials, drive time, the detailing needed for the design, etc. This is why it is hard to tie down specific rates for a piece of art. There are base examples of rates at the bottom of the page, however I will send you a breakdown of the payment when you receive your quote.
 Timeline:
Timelines for completed artwork will vary depending on time of year, scope of the project, current schedule, etc. If you need your artwork sent to you by a specific date, please let me know during your quote so I can assure accommodation for it. I will usually try to complete a piece of artwork within a month after the quote has been approved and payment received, however you may feel free to request a status update, and I will keep you updated on progress as well.
 Updates:
During each phase of creation I will send you a low res digital update through email; that way if you need to make any revisions during the process you can let me know. I allow two revisions per update.
 Copyright information:
By law, copyright is specifically attributed to the artist unless a contract has been drawn to change copyright ownership to the buyer. If you are using this art for your own personal use (putting it on a website with credit, printing for personal use, etc.) there should not be an issue. If you plan to use the art for commercial use, for example sales, t-shirts, greeting cards, logos, prints, etc. that will be sold to the public, this should be stated in the quote so I can adjust accordingly.
  Payment:
Payment can be made through paypal, or once the quote has been agreed upon I will email you my mailing address to send a check or money order. I will start working on the artwork once the payment has been made.
